Capacity and Ceremony Details: Your wedding group, including you, your guests (even infants), your officiant, and photographer(s), can’t exceed 30 people. Some sites have even smaller capacity limits, so make sure to double-check. Ceremonies are capped at two hours and take place outdoors without protection from the elements. While some sites have a few picnic tables or benches, you’ll need to be prepared for the rustic charm of the location. Each of the 12 wedding sites has its own group size restriction, so check out the RMNP website to stay updated on any changes or closures.

Permits and Availability: Planning ahead is essential. Wedding permit applications can be submitted up to one year in advance on the first of the month. RMNP issues a limited number of permits per month based on the season, and, given the park’s popularity, permits sell out quickly during high demand months. The non-refundable administrative fee for a Wedding Permit is $300. Parking and Entrance Fees: Parking can be limited, and some designated wedding sites have restrictions on the number of cars allowed. No Dogs Allowed (Except in Select Areas): Rocky Mountain National Park doesn’t allow dogs, with two exceptions. Leashed dogs are permitted at the Moraine Park Discovery Center Amphitheater and Timber Creek Campground Amphitheater. If you’d like to include your furry best friend in your ceremony at either of these locations, you must note it on your application.
